Atherton TIny | Retreat with Fire Pit

Positive: Great location, 15 minutes walk to town centre. Negative: The house was tricky to find, maybe a sign on the main street would help indicate where to turn. The house had a bad odour when we walked in, then we realised it was the compost toilet, had to open up the windows to ventilate the space. Kitchen floor was quite soft to walk on, felt like I would put a hole through the floor if I fell. Steps up to main loft is quite dangerous to climd. Defnitley not ideal for someone with mobility issues as you could easily lose balance and fall off the stairs, maybe better to remove handrails against the wall to the kitchen side so there's enough support to walk up and down the loft. Bed was comfortable to sleep in and house was clean and tidy. On the last night of our stay both gas cylinders were empty so couldn't have warm showers at night and in the morning considering the cold weather. We got home late from a festival that night so didn't want to disturb the agent at 12am to replace gas. Overall, the location was great, just walking distance to the town centre.

Positive: This place felt like a cozy hideaway - absolutely beautiful staying in Atherton and was made even better staying here. Would 1000% stay here again in the very near future! The chickens give great company, the fire pit was amazing, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen had EVERYTHING you needed. You could comfortably stay for as long as you needed without going without, and it's so nice to have a place that really has everything you need.
